Polaris has missed the mark on the RZR with the intake system and it has been catastrophic for many owners, my father in law being one of those.  He has been through two engine rebuilds in under 800 miles, not typical of any Polaris machine. They mostly ave problems out west but anyone is at risk. The main problem is the way the chose to connect the filter, it does not stop all the dust from entering the motor causing a build up in the throttle body and what ever doesn’t stick there goes straight into the motor!!!!! There are many fixes that work well for different riding styles (mud, sand, desert silt, ect.) This is how I chose to relsove it for the type of riding we do, desert, sand, mountain trails.

I went with a KMS Performance intake I have logged  just over 600 miles with this system and have had NO DUST intrusion at all.  I have been very happy with the result.

Here is a link to purchase it. I am not affiliated with this company but they have it!

I also purchased a HOLZ Racing Products engine air vent kit to help pre filter but I have not installed it yet. Here is a link to that product also:< nate and steph 255 300x199 Polaris Ranger RZR Intake upgrade
